English Bill of Rights
It has come to the point that we must take action to maintain our rights
We must have a government in our colony.
The nobles of England wrote the Magna Carta in 1215 because the king was trying to take their power away. They wrote it to limited the kings power so he couldn't have all the power to himself.
The British Parliament was having many conflicts with the king, so in 1689 they passed the English Bill of Rights, to insure more rights for the people and limit the kings power even more.
The colonists coming to America on the Mayflower wrote in 1620 to determine who would be in charge so that there was order and protection in the colony.
