  • In 1898 the Spanish-American war ended  after the Treaty of Paris was signed. This meant that the philippines was no longer under the rule of the spaniards but the americans

  • Just two days after the Treaty of Paris was signed Filipino nationalists and American forces clashed starting the Philippine-American war.
  • We must gather up our people and troops to fight back against the Americans. The philippines WILL be independent
  • The Philippine-American war lasted 3 years. An estimated 4,200 americans died and over 20,000 filipinos died. During the time famine and disease spread across the country killing more that 200,000 Filipinos.
