After Odysseus was warned by Eurylochus about Circe, the witch, and began to sail him out to sea, but refused his advice, Odysseus sails back to save his friends. Hermes gave Odysseus a plants called molly to protect him for Circe's powers. Circe undid the spell she cased on his friends, but made a prophecy that she would give them back till Odysseus begged.
The Land of the Dead
Odysseus's men found Circe in a house whom also offered them food and turned them into pigs eventually, but one of his members did not. So he went to Odysseus and told him what happened and how the group split. Odysseus saves them because when he spoke to Circe he begged for help. He had to go to the Land of The Dead to make her happy.
Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis
Odysseus was the only one that survived after his long journey. After the Journey he eventually drifted to home Calypso. She kept Odysseus on her island for 7 years.
Odysseus was held captive for about a year by Circe, she tells them that in order to reach home they have to pass by The Land of The Death with his men and consult with Tiresias. When he gets to his destination pours a combination of honey, sweet wine, water, and scatter battery into a well. He sacrifices the blood of his lamb, meanwhile he encounters the spirit of his mother. Odysseus and his crew make their way back to Ithaca because of Tiresias.
In the den of Scylla, where a huge and monsterous creature with 12 legs similar to tentacles and with 6 heads with 3 rows of sharp fangs whelping like a newborn baby. This creature was in a cave in a mountain so tall and high up that not even the great Odysseus, a master bowmen's arrow could only reach half way up the cave.
Odysseus tried to convince her men to bypass Thrinacia the island of Helios but instead of listening to the insisted on landing. The crew wanted to go in Helios' castle he warned them and they didn't listen. Helios' was furious. But, to get Helios happy. Zeus struck Odysseus' ship and killed everyone except Odysseus.
