Well, i'm glad you asked. The Youth Advocate is a representative for the respondent. They want to obtain info to help the respondent obtain the sanction that would best suite them.

The youth advocate would schedule an interview with the respondent, and their family to gain more information about the respondents offense statements that provide statements show that the respondent is remorseful, and has learned from their actions.
There are certain tasks you would have to complete to become a successful youth court advocate. For example you would have to keep good notes, ask questions to clarify certain things, deliver the closing statement to the jury.
Well that does seem like it would be interesting, I think I will give it a try.
