  • Act I, Scene i
  • Capulet, Montague! If you ever disturb our streets again, Your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace.
  • Thou shalt not stir one foot to seek a foe.
  • Act I, Scene i-ii
  • I'll go along no such sight to be shown, But to rejoice in splendor of mine own.
  • Go thither, and with unattained eye Compare her face with some that I shall show, And I will make thee think thy swan a crow.
  • Act I, Scene v
  • If I profane with my unworthiest hand This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.
  • Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this.
  • Lord Capulet and Montague have their swords drawn, ready to battle over their continuous family (Capulet vs Montague) rivalry. Lady Montague tries to deter the men from fighting until Prince Escales steps in and presents their punishment of death if riots between the families continue.
  • Act III, Scene v
  • Madam, tell me quickly, what day is that?
  • Benvolio and Mercutio poke fun at Romeo bevause he is so heartbroken over Rosaline. Then Benvolio has an idea which is to bring Romeo to the Capulet party to let him get his mind off of Rosaline and see other beautiful girls.
  • Act V, Scene iii
  • Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O' happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die.
  • Romeo arrives at the party, he then meets Juliet and takes her hand. They kiss and he is convinced this is true love.
  • Act V, Scene iii
  • Lady Capulet enters Juliet's room right after Romeo leaves and tells her she will be getting married to Paris with a set date and place. Lady Capulet does not know she's already married to Romeo. Juliet starts planning how to escape marriage to Paris which causes her to go to the Friar for a 42 hour sleeping potion.
  • Indeed, my child, at Saint Peter’s Church early Thursday morning, the gallant, young, and noble gentleman Count Paris will happily make you a joyful bride.
  • Juliet takes the potion from the Friar and is taken to the Capulet tomb where Romeo is supposed to find her alive after receiving the letter. He doesn't get the letter and goes to the tomb to find her "dead." He kills himself with poison and Juliet wakes up, seeing him dead, and stabs herself with a dagger.
  • Friar Lawrence enters with the Prince and the Chief Watchman as well as Lord and Lady Capulet and Montague. The Friar explains the situation and ultimately ends the feud between the Capulet and Montagues over the price of their beloved children.
