Really Caz? We'd better do an activity on the Big Bang theory and why it's not a law.
A LAW is a description of something that has been observed many times. It doesn't explain why it exists or what caused it.
And a THEORY is an explanation of something that has been observed many times. In science, laws are a starting place then we try to explain why. This explanation may change with new evidence.
Laws can't become theories in the same way that descriptions can't become explanations.
