I have been playing soccer ever since I was a little girl. I played in middle school, high school and in a club. My dad didn't want me playing soccer during my sophomore year of high school. I had to quit the team during the season I stopped doing what I loved most.
I went through a hard phase, I cried every night, took sleeping pills, and never went out of my room. I felt very depressed and had dark thoughts. I was negative and started failing classes.
I decided to apply for a job in my sophomore year, after two years I became a floor supervisor. I am still employed in the same place. Even though my dad didn't allow me to continue doing something I enjoyed, I am proud of myself for overcoming the challenge and being where I am at today.
