I am part of the early farm communities in West Africa. We settled here in the south of the Sahara because there is lots of land and enough water to live. Our communities are made up of extended families. Each community produces most of the things it needs. We work together to clear the fields, plant seeds, and harvest crops
I am part of a village. My family community and I joined together because we needed help and protection. We are located near the Niger river so we get a lot of traders coming through here. There are about 100-200 members in my village. We mostly focus on trade.
I live in a town. When I used to live in a village we were just turning into trading sites. This river right here is where it began. We had people at all times of day coming here to trade. In those houses back there are some luxury items we traded. We grew into towns by making advancements in iron technology. This also led to a surplus in trade because our farmers and miners could find and produce more things to trade. This gained us money and help the town grow.
I am the king. I am very wealthy. I collect taxes from the goods that are being bought and sold in my kingdom. I am wealthy enough to afford large armies to conquer other trading sites. We grew from a town into a kindom because of our location. We had a smal army but we nearby to other small trading sites so we could conquer them easily. My army still conquers trading sites but larger ones because we are now more powerful.
