  • Battle of Brooklyn
  • The Battle of Saratoga 
  • Winter at Valley Forge
  • Have you read The Crisis?
  • During the Battle of Brooklyn there were adverse winds as well as bad weather such as rain. This made the battle not easy to fight and win.
  • The Southern Campaign
  • During the first battle of Saratoga the British ended up surrendering  and that helped foreigners to realize that the colonists are not weak and there is purpose to help them.
  • Trenton and Princeton
  • During the harsh winters Martha Washington assisted the soldiers by bringing them supplies and motivation. Thomas Paine's "The Crisis" also motivated the soldiers to do their best.
  •                            Siege of Yorktown
  • The Cowpens battle was one of the most important battles for the colonists because this was the first major battle won by the Continental Army
  • In both battles the Americans won with their leader being George Washington
  • The British were surrounded by the colonists on land and the French Navy on the coast, resulting in the end of the battle and Revolution
