This flag represents the Union flag that was flown over blue dressed soldiers. This flag stayed mostly the same all though out the war and only changed when the 34th state was attmitted to the Union.
This was the first Confederate National flag that was created for the confederacy. This one resembled the U.S. flag and was nick named "Stars and Bars". It was later changed so that it would no longer be mistaken for the wrong flag.
This was originally the flag that represented the Battle of the Army of Northern Virginia. However, this flag has become the identifiable symbol of the confederacy.
