  • Silent trade. Names-Abi, Caydee and Emma
  • This is a picture of a desert with a river where they used silent trade.
  • North African

  • Middle-man
  • West african

  • -Silent trade is a method by which traders who can not speak each others languages without talking.-Northern and western African people used silent trade.-It might be used because of an inability for people to talk the others langues.-It took place in western Africa near a river.
  • Step 3
  • The western and northern Africans used a middle man to help them set up a date and time  to met so that they cause trade.
  • Step 4
  • North Africans
  • A trader from west Africa would then go to the meeting spot and leave the gold for the north Africans.
  • Step 5
  • After he leaves the gold the trader will beat the drum and then would walk away from the meeting spot so the north Africans would know to come and pick up the gold.
  • Then the north Africans would come and get the gold.
  • The north Africans would then leave the salt.
