Storyboard Text

  • When a large star runs out of fuel, gravity will collapse the star so quickly it will create a massive explosion called a supernova.
  • The remains of a supernovae are large clouds  of dust and gas called interstellar clouds.
  • The cloud of dust and gas begins to clump together due to gravity, and gives light due to internal heating. This clump is called a PROTOSTAR.
  • An interstellar cloud is an area of space that accumulated a lot of dust and gas. They are stellar nurseries,a place where new stars are born./ A nebula is a type of interstellar cloud.
  • TO GET TO THE ORION NEBULA YOU WOULD HAVE TO TRAVEL 1500 LIGHT YEARS!!!
  • Phases to our solarsystem Phase 1 Spinning: As each atom moved, they attached to others due to gravity. All of this moving energy averaged out in one direction. This caused the solar system to spin. Phase 2 Flattening: Gravity pulled the gas and dust closer to the center. This made the solar system spin more rapidly. this caused the solar system to flatten into a disc.
