When they get off the train they are being put into lines and it is very hectic.
When they enter Auschwitz and in through the gates Elli sees another sign that says "Work sets you free", but when she sees it she thinks to herself all the things that are wrong with that saying. It is very cold and many people are walking with her.
WORK SETS YOU FREE
After Elli tries to get everyone to be quiet the guards start to tell everyone to take their clothes off and put them in a pile. while they are telling them to go they aren't going fast enough for the guards liking and they start yelling at them like they are animals.
Los! Schneller, blode Lumpen
Elli is inside a narrow and dark room with many SS guards yelling at them to be quiet. The people in the room with Elli didn't listen so they asked anyone who could speak German to step forward. Elli did and the SS guard told her to stand in the chair and tell them to be quiet or they will be shot.
Tell them to be quiet! Ruhe!!
When Elli and all the other people have taken all of their clothes off it left a huge pile in the room because there are hundreds even thousands of people with Elli. What's left is those hundreds to thousands of people left naked in a narrow and dark cold room filled with guards that are whipping them and even shooting them if they don't listen
