Good morning class! Today we are learning about the Preamble to the Constitution.
The preamble is the beginning of the constitution. It states what the constitution does.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and insure the blessings of liberty, to ourselves and our posterity. Do ordain and establish this constitution for the United State of America.
Basically, The preamble states that the constitution is to create laws to help the United States work together, create and uphold justice, keep peace in the U.S.A., protect everybody, encourage everybody to be healthy, and keep liberty forever.
So, the preamble is kind of like instructions for the constitution?
