  • A fast growing population outpaced the food supply and in 1788 famine and widespread starvation occurred in the countryside.

  • We Come here representing french estates of the REALM!
  • Enlightenment thinker had a big influence and profound effect on American and French Revolutions
  • Storming of the Bastille
  • Peasants paid land tax to the state and a 5% property tax. All paid tax depending on how many family members they had.
  • Women's March to Versailles
  • WE WANT BREAD! WE WANT BREAD!
  •  A very large assembly  representing the French Estates of the Realm. The people that attended were Clergy, Nobles, and Commoners which contributed to the French Revolution in 1789
  • This was a violent attack that contributed to the french revolution. They attacked at the Bastille which was a fortress built to protect France from the thirty years war.
  • A crowd of woman demanded bread so they gathered their families and marched toward Versailles arriving soaking wet from the rain.
