  • Here is your long term credit. this is money a certificate you can use in the future.
  • Massachusetts debt
  • Were going to have to foreclose your farm for your debts
  • August 29th in North Hampton
  • the continental soldiers were paid by long term credit and paper certificates. it resulted in the government making real currency.
  • September 25-28
  • Many farmers had mortgaged land and didn't have the money to pay taxes. the farms got foreclosed
  • Shays New plan
  • on August 29 a group of farmers closed the Hampton county court bringing all foreclosures to a halt
  • Centinel Observation
  • Shays own band of 600 farmers occupied the Springfield courthouse
  • They made this plan because they knew they facing an organized militia.
  • This means that the rebellion showed they needed a new government.
