The first question of today's Jeopardy game is: Who was the third president of the United States?
I'm pretty sure it's Thomas Jefferson, but what if i'm wrong?
Is that really your answer?
During high school we would often play jeopardy as a way to review information before exams. We had one particular teacher who was always sarcastic or had a sort of judgemental attitude.
Because of the way this teacher behaved whenever we would play jeopardy students would always be nervous or scared to play because they didn't want to give a wrong answer and look dumb or be made fun of.
If you gave an answer and it wasn't even close this teacher would laugh or scoff at you in front of the whole class. This often led to students giving completely wrong answers because they would rather have people think they were messing around and being funny than not knowing anything and being seen as dumb.
