A girl who thinks she is prettier than everyone and brags/ boasts about all day, every day. Until one day she says something out loud for the wrong person to hear and she is sent far away, with a terrible curse, and the ugliest appearance.
How am I so beautiful!
My skin is more beautiful than freshly fallen snow.
My hair glows brighter in the sun!
My eyes are way greener than the Aegean Sea.
My lips are much redder than the reddest rose!
One day Medusa went to the Parthenon with her friends, which was the largest temple to the goddess Athena. It was decorated beautifully with authentic paintings and sculptures. Everyone who entered was awed and couldn't help but think how grateful they were to Athena, who was the god of wisdom, for watching over the city of Athens, all except Medusa. She thought she could have done much better than Athena had. Until Medusa made the mistake of saying, "My this is a beautiful temple. It is a shame it was wasted on Athena for I am so much prettier than she is, perhaps someday people will build an even grander temple to my beauty." Everyone heard and slowly left so that Athena wouldn't see them with Medusa. Yet Medusa had no clue about the disappearance of everyone because she was too busy staring at her reflection. Until Athena came out and scolded Medusa. Medusa tried to disagree but was shushed. Athena then put a long-lasting curse on Medusa. Turning her to one of the ugliest people ever. Her hair turned to snakes and could turn a man to stone with mere sight. Medusa then was sent to the end of the world to live with the blind monsters, and the Gorgon sisters, so that no innocents would be turned to stone by the sight of her.
