  • I cannot help you anymore, wherever walk...just walk away from the fighting
  • Salva left the barn and took a few steps to  see what he could. He say a women up ahead and noticed the ritual scar of the Dinka tribe on her forehead.

  • The pond has become a puddle. I am going  to a village with water, you cannot stay with me any longer.
  • Salva was nervous. He hoped that she would be nice to a stranger. She could tell Salva was hungry so she went inside to grab him food.

  • Salva stayed with the women for three more days. He fetched fire wood from a bush and water from the pond in hopes that she would not make him leave.

  • They are from the Dinka! Could my family be upon them?
  • O my! There is a group of people coming this way!
  • The lady told Salva he can no longer stay with her. This confused Salva and made him feel helpless.
  • Why can't I go with her?
  • Salva felt clueless and lost. But then all of the sudden he heard voices.
  • What will I do? Where will I go?
  • Salva saw a group of people walking by and noticed the Dinka symbol on them.  He hoped that his family was with them.
