The Mayans from Mexico to today Guatemala, Belize, and also the western parts of Honduras and El Salvador. It was in the 6th century.
The Mayans created a calendar they created many but one of them was the Haab, it was a solar calendar. It had 365 days and 18 months of 20 days, the calendar had 5 extra days which were considered unlucky and they were called Wayeb. I think this is important because we took some of their calendar and without it we wouldn't have one.
So this isn't exactly an aqueduct but its the closest. Anyway, Palenque was one of the smaller cities it had 9 perennial waterways and 56 springs. The aqueduct was created by the Mayans to prevent over abundance of water. I think this is important because I think this kind of led to sewers.
NO MORE FOOD!
The Mayan writing is known as script. It is assumed that it is the only finished writing system in Mesoamerica. They could write all the things they could say!
The Mayans could have died from famine, disease, warfare, or environmental change. I think that the least likely one was environmental change. I think this because the environment changes slowly over time, if this did happen they would probably notice and leave.
I think that the Mayans died form starvation (famine). I they died from this because they had so many people to feed and they didn't have enough food. Some days the weather wasn't good enough to go outside and get harvesting or planting done so people would starve.
