Storyboard Text

  • The first cell represents erosion. Erosion is the process that wears down and carries away rock and soil.
  • The second cell represents deposition. Deposition is the process in which sediment is laid sown in new locations.
  • Evaporation: solar energy causes water on earth's surface to evaporate. It occurs over large bodies of water.
  • Condensation: as warm air rises, it expands and cools. Colder air can hold less water vapor than warm air, so it condensates.
  • Precipitation: rain, snow, sleet, or hail. When the ice crystals in clouds get too heavy, gravity causes them to fall.
  • Water cycle: the continuous movement of water among the oceans, atmosphere, and land.
