We have plenty of land and get this a real kitchen!-
Good afternoon Ms. Wilson-
Good afternoon George
Nine months later, a fire ravaged the city in which the Wilson's lived. This destroyed Luzena's fortune yet again and set the family back to square 1.
No,no,no! How could this be happening again..
The family moved yet again to a small valley in California called Vacaville. Here, they yet again had to build up their business, "Wilson's Hotel.
Finally, a time for me to relax, San Francisco can' t burn down-
Over time Vacaville became more populated and "Wilson's Hotel" was successful allowing the Wilson's to become substantial land owners. But, unfortunately in 1872 Mason Wilson abandoned his family to go to Texas and Luzena's sons moved on soon after leaving her alone in Vacaville.
Over the course of two days fires spread through Vacaville and destroyed Luzena's property for the third time.
On her own now, Luzena moved to San Francisco for the rest of her life living off real estate transactions and made one trip to visit Vacaville.
The date was July 11,1902. Luzena Wilson died at age 83 of thyroid cancer at the Hotel Pleasonton in San Francisco.
