Storyboard Text

  • Be the Unbelivable
  • HOW?
  • I know how to read
  • I know what you don't
  • It's because he's a Cunningham.
  • TAKE IT!
  • No, Thank you.
  • The treasure tree
  • "... As I read the alphabet a faint line appeared between her eyebrows, and after making me read most of My First Reader and the stock market quotations from The Mobile Register, she discovered that I was literate and looked at me with more, that I was literate and looked at me with more than faint distaste."  This shows that the character in page 17 is very bright and advanced than others.
  • Don't awaken the monster
  • Shhhh!
  • "That's okay ma'am you'll get to know all the county folks after a while. The Cunninghams never took anything they can't pay back- no church baskets and no scrip stamps. They never took anything off of anybody, they get along on what they have. They don't have much, but they get along it." in page 20. This shows that Scout is very observant to those in her county. She's the eyes and ears of everything where she lives.
  • Can't keep the Fist down
  • "Some tinfoil was sticking in a knot- hole just above my eye level, winking at me in the afternoon sun. I stood on tiptoe, hastily looked around once more, reached into the hole, and withdrew two pieces of chewing gum minus their outer wrappers." This was found on page 33. This shows that Scout is curious because she not only chewed the gum that she found in the the tree but also wondered on who had placed it there.
  • Shut up and Listen
  • I am sorry.
  • "With this thought in mind, I made perhaps one step per minute. I moved faster when I saw Jem far ahead beckoning in the moonlight." This was stated in page 52. This proves that Scout is very cautious in every situation that she is put in. And she thinks ahead of every single step she takes and how it will affect her in the future.
  • "He is not!" I roared. "I don't know what you're talkin' about, but you better cut it out in this red hot minute!." This was stated in page 83. This proves that Scout is very protective towards what people say about her family in this case her father. She uses her fists more than her words to make those talking bad about her family to take it back and regret they ever said that.
  • You take that back or im going to beat you up!
  • Well you should be
  • "A nigger- lover . I ain't very sure what it means, but the way Francis said it- tell you something right now, Uncle Jack, I'll be- I swear before God if I'll sit there and let him say somethin' about Atticus." This was stated in page 86. This shows that Scout is a strong character because she stands up for herself and her family against whoever. She also changes her Uncle's perspective by proving to him that he should listen to everybody's perspective before judging.
