  • This country aint big enough for the both of us.
  • Tsar Nicholas II ruled from 1894-1917. Tsar was a terrible leader who used secret police called Okrana to persecute the opponents. He had the newspapers and books censored so the people cant see reality. There was a food and fuel supply along with his secret police terrorizing the people. He had many military losses which lead to his people rebelling against him
  • ww1 1914-1918
  • The spark of the Revolution of 1905 was Tsar Nicholas II loss at war against the japanese. The peoplewere angry at him already for the shortage of fuel and food and how his men were terrorising them. Many people died as the police opened fired on the people. This had weakened Tsar because the had lost all faith in him after this.

  • When bolshevik and Menshevik split happend a majority of people went to bolshevik side lead by Lenin and the Mensheviks were lead by trosky. The bolsheviks had more power and defeated the menshevicks in the civil war witch lead to them gaining power over russia.

  • WW1 was 4 years of people dying for their country. By the end of the war there were 8.5 million soldiers dead, 21 million soldiers injured, and 338 billion dollars were spent. The allies won the war and Germany was humiliated with Tsar nicholas II with another L.
  • Lenin was the leader of the bolsheviks and lead russia after Nicholas promised peace, land , and bread. he had russia dropped from ww1 with the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. He used council of workers and soldiers to gain more support for the bolsheviks. Lenin died on 24 January 1924. His body was embalmed and placed in a mausoleum on Moscow's Red Square. You can still visit him today.

  • Stalin was considered a behind the scences politicion. Trosky was basically stalins enemy and when trosky left the USSR and was talking trash about Stalin, he didnt take that very well. Stalin sent out his men to find trosky and have him killed. Tryosky was killed in mexio city.
