  • During the exposition the reader learns who Elie Wiesel is as a boy and the relationship with his father and how much he trusts in God.
  • Falling Action
  • During the rising actions Elie and his family are transported to Aushwitz, a Nazi concentration camp network.
  • Resolution
  • The climax takes place when Elie and his father have been in the concentration camp for some time. During this time their heads are shaved and their cloths srtipped so they appear less human.
  • Theme
  • The falling actions involve the prisoners of Aushwitz including Elie and his father running all the way to another camp in the cold snow. They have not had foos for days. 
  • Elie is eventually rescued by American soldiers though unfortunatly his father does not make it. The soldiers that rescue him are shocked to see the state of the prisoners.
  • The theme of Night is that ignorence and indifference can cause so much more pain than hatred or anger ever could.
