  •  Kids and teens have been diagnosed with mental illnesses. Such as depression, anxiety and even eating disorders. Many teens tend to not express how they feel or ask for help because they might be too afraid to talk to their parents or even because they're afraid of how they might react.

  • Often parents go indenial about their child having a mental illness.
  • The NAMI compaingn states that "The fear of discrimination and being viewed as different by their friends and peers is a large barrier to young people receiving mental health". This explains that teens are fearful of being dicriminated and bneing looked at different even by the people they are close with.
  • Therapy helps with mental health. Sometime people just needs someone to talk to.
