Hey Class, do you know what were going to study today?
is it trigonometry?
no what is it?
If it is then you better start explaining now?
Today we are going to study different topics in Trigonometry and today its going to be about hypotenuse angles,,adjacent angles , and opposite angle
So what are they teacher?
Yeah tell us now !!
The hypotenuse of a right triangle is always the side opposite the right angle. It is the longest side in a right triangle. The other two sides are called the opposite and adjacent sides. .These sides are labeled in relation to an angle.
Angle of elevation on top of a building is 24 degrees and there a flagpole on top and its 27 degrees . the height of the building is 500 ft. find the height of the building and the length of the flagpole.
did you guys understand?
so what you mean to say is that each angle could be found using an equation?
I will solve the question!
h/500=tan 24 degrees h=500 tan 24 degrees =500(0.4452)=223 and as for the height of the flagpole k/500=tan 27 degrees so k=500 tan 27 degrees =500(0.5095=255 255-223=32 ft being the height of the flagpole
Yes,now class, here is a question for you and I see you have solved it. Good job! its correct
