  • Newton's First Law
  • An object at rest stays at rest
  • An object in motion stays in motion
  • Newtons first law is that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion. This is an example of the law.
  • Newtons third law
  • Before Adrian kicked the car, it was at rest. Therefore it stays at rest until he kicks it.
  •
  • The car drove off when Adrian kicked it. This put the car in motion. Therefore it will stay in motion until it gets stopped by another force.
  •
  • Newtons third law is that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
  • While the car is rolling away, the wind begins to blow in the opposite direction.
  • The car comes to a stop because the wind is pushing the car with the same force as the one that Adrian initiated by kicking it.
