  • Alexander the Great was born in 356 BC.
  • When Alexander the Great was a child he saw a horse that was wild because it saw it's shadow.  His father said he could keep it if he could get on and tame it. He pointed the horse toward the sun so the horse could not see, and then the horse was calmed. Alexander named the horse Bucephalus.
  • Alexander the Great's Father was killed by his body guard at his sister's wedding.
  • He took over Persia and also acquired their culture.
  • Alexander the Great conquered and took over Egypt.
  • Alexander the Great died when he was around 33 because a malaria type disease he contracted in Macedonia.
