  • Scrooge sees himself as a young child and is worried because him as a young self is getting broken up with from the love of his life. She is braking up with him because of his love in money more than her.
  • One conflict in the play A Christmas Carol is when Belle brakes up with young scrooge because of his love of money. The text states "It doesn't matter to you. Something has replaced your love for me. I hope it can cheer you and comfort you when you most need it, as I would have tried to do." This shows that belle is braking up with him because it says that he loves something else instead of her and she doesn't like that.
  • One theme in the the story A Christmas Carol is when life brings you joy just take it. This is shown in the story when Scrooge is all mad about Christmas and then toward the end he loves it. The text states " Scrooge goes to the church and then walks around the streets, happily greeting everyone he meets. He has never felt so happy in his whole life". This shows the theme when life brings you joy take it because in the beginning life was trying to bring joy to him but he pushed it away and now he is happy because he finally let joy into his life.
