  • what is the importance of the battles at Saratoga?
  • Why is Valley Forge important? What happened there? 
  • Who is Thomas Paine? What did he do? 
  • The importance of the Battle at Saratoga was, The victory at Saratoga was a turning in the American Revolution. France and other nations had finally realized that the Americans could actually have a chance to win, so France decided to join forces and become allies to the Americans.
  • How was the Foreign aid helpful? who contributed? 
  • Help the Americans defeat the British!!!
  • Washington set up camp at Valley Forge 20 miles to the west where he and his troops suffered a terrible winter. They lacked decent food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. Becuase of the snowstorms and the damaged roads slowed down deliveries.  they built huts and gathered supplies from the countryside. The army grows stronger every day. 
  • How did the war affect the families?

  • Thomas Paine was similarly astute. his common sense was a clarion call that began the revolution. 
  • How were Loyalist treated in the colonies? 
  • Hey, hows it going..... hello?
  • Juan de Miralles was a foreign aid that persuaded Cuba, Spain, and Mexico to send money to the united states to help with the American Revolutionary War efforts. Spain, Cuba, and Mexico were all contributing.
  • The war affected many families by taking away dads for a long period of time. wives of soldiers had to take care of there families without a strong independant person. 
  • Some were treated rudely and some were treated kindly.  some loyalist spied on the Patriots and some didn't support the patriot cause. some that remained in u.s. was over shunned by their neighbors.
