  • Your son will be...
  • I want my son to be king!
  • Ah! I'm very skinny and sick!
  • The story begins with a prince named Siddhartha. A fortune teller predicts that he would either be a king or religious leader. His dad had a plan to get him to be a king.
  • To make Siddhartha a king, his dad protected him from anything bad. These things included poor people, sickness, and other things. Whenever the prince went out, guards would come to protect him.
  • When Siddhartha was older, he went out without any guards. He saw three things that horrified him. A man leaning on a stick, a homeless person, and a man that died.
  • Hello!
  • My son!
  • After what happened, Siddhartha decided to search for the truth about life, suffering, and death. He tried self denial and didn´t bathe or eat much for a long time. After 5 years, he was weak so he had a bowl of milk and rice.
  • After quitting self denial, his friends abandoned him. He continues his search by sitting at a tree. He meditated there for 49 days and gained enlightenment .
  • Once Siddhartha gained enlightenment, he went back into the world to show people what he learned. His family agreed with the idea and decided to join him. For the next 45 years, He traveled across India, preaching a message of truth and hope. The End.
