  • You've lost Mao! You're surrounded!
  • The Revolution of 1911 results in the formation of a Chinese Republic. A political idealist named Sun Yat Sen looks to unify the people of China under this Republic.
  • The Long March, 1934
  • It will not be much further.
  • The May fourth movement was a student led revolt which used Nationalist and Communist motivations to attempt to more unify the people of China.
  • The Japanese Invasion
  • The Nationalists and Communist are successful in the capture of Beijing. They attempt to unify China by ending warlord rule. In a fight for power, Nationalist leader Chaing Kai Shek begins to kill off communists. He then defeats communist Mao Zedong in battle.
  • The Long March occurred when Mao Zedong led all of his followers to rebuild communism in a safe place , away from nationalist threat. Many died along this journey.
  • The Japanese invasion resulted in the combination of both Nationalist and Communist power. The civil war was halted, and the focus emphasized was on defeating the Japanese.
  • Defeat the Japanese!
