The French and Indian War
Britain and France started a war between each other over who would own the Ohio River Valley.
The French allied with the Algonquins and Hurons against the British and the Iroquois. The Iroquois remained mostly neutral and fought for both sides until they allied with the English.
Ohio River Valley, 1754-1763
Spain, England, and France were trying to keep each other from gaining too much power. The French and Indian War was simply caused because England wanted more land.
Britain gained all the land east of the Ohio River and Spain gained all the land west of the river. France was kicked out of America
