Storyboard Text

  • Hi! I'm Jasmine. I like drawing and I'm from Indonesia.
  • Hello!
  • Yeah. It looks like she is bald. So funny!
  • Did you see that towel? She's so silly with that thing covering her head.
  • Why do they make fun with my style?
  • An Indonesian girl named Jasmine has to go to study aboard at Brisbane when she is only 10 because her parents want her to have an advanced educational environment.
  • Hi! May I sit here?
  • I’m sorry but I don’t have room for another guest. Such a weirdo!
  • Since Jasmine introduced herself to the students, she could feel that bad vibration since they saw her style. Therefore, they make fun of her background.
  • Do you think we're so rude to her?
  • I don't think so, I've seen many people say this word to a person that looks different to us so I think it's alright.
  • But they do not know Jasmine is there. She heard everything. Consequently, she feels so embarrassed about her style. Negative thoughts exist.
  • They're so rude. I hate this school. I don't want to go to school anymore
  • Forgetting about what she heard, Jasmine tries to make friends with these girls at lunchtime. However, the girls insult Jasmine about her style and kick her away.
  • Although they've thought about Jasmine's feeling, being influenced by other people behaviours make them think it is a common thing.
  • After that happens all the time, Jasmine experiences depression, stress, emotional distress and anxiety. She does not know what to do and start to think about dropping out.
  • I feel so lonely here. I want to go back to Indonesia.
