Today I'm going to Mexico. There are a lot of things I have to remember ahead of my business meeting.
The first thing I have to remember is to respect elders. When talking to them I would have to say usted and not tu.
When greeting people, I would greet men with a handshake and girls with a kisse on the cheek.
Also, Mexico is a long term oriented society unlike the U.S. The task is not the most important, spending time with your family is. They follow the manana concept.
Mexico is a collectivist country. They emphasize group achievements rather than individual awards. It is important to know what the group wants and work together to achieve this.
All these are important to remember ahead of my business trip to Mexico.
