  • The Potawatomi Nation was peacefully living by the Twin Lakes in Indiana. They minded their own business but despite their quietness they were told they had to leave their land by Andrew Jackson.
  • Chief Menominee refused to leave his land because they had done nothing wrong. But Andrew Jackson did not care because he wanted their land.
  • Because Chief Menominee and his people refused to leave the land, Andrew Jackson’s soldiers forcibly moved them off their land. And they couldn’t do anything about it.
