In" The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe introduces Montresor a wine taster and collecter. Fortunato is a rich wine taster and an enemy of Montresor. Fortunato got asked to a wine tasting session. Montresor compares Fortunato to someone who has bad tastes.
Montresor is upset with Fortunato and sought revenge.While Fortunato is completely oblivious.He uses the wine as a symbol that attracted him in.
Montresor brings Fortunato to his wine cellar to taste Amontillado. During the time Fortunato is intoxicated and is confused. Fortunato begins to cough which Montresor uses for another persuasion. Montresor claimed he bought a barrel of the Amontillado.
Montresor chains Fortunato to the wall of the catacombs. While doing so Fortunato was still intoxicated.
Montresor started to build a wall while Fortunato finally figures out what is happening. Fortunato stops screaming and gives in. Montresor finished sealing the wall in front of him so no one could find him. Fortunato last remark was him laughing at Montresor before he put in the last brick.
Montresor leaves Fortunato in the catacombs. Fortunato is left to "Rest in Peace". No one found him for a half of a century.
