  • I can't believe Emma  is at college. It seems like only yesterday when we found out she had Triple X syndrome.

  • Doctor's Report
  • Most cases of Triple X syndrome are not inherited, rather are random events during formation of reproductive cells. Triple X syndrome is a genetic disorder, sex-linked, and  the affected chromosome is the 23rd chromosome.
  • We will have to work harder so we can help with Emma's difficulty with speech, language skills, and motor skills. We will need to also give more mental support as well. Emma will not effect the family emotionally, nor will we have to move. Hopefully no one will bully Emma for her appearance, but that will be unlikely.
  • Nord, the national foundation in Washington Dc, is a great organization for Triple X syndrome. It's on 1779 Massachusetts Avenue, on suite 500, in Washington DC. Their Phone number is 202-588-5100. Their fax number is 202-588-5701.You could go to the Achievement Center of Texas. For more information check out Genetics Home reference.
