  • Oct. 2, 1835 when the Battle of Gonzales started. The Battle started because Mexico wanted their cannon back. If you didn't know, Mexico gifted Texas a cannon and now, they're thinking Texas will use it on them.
  • I wonder who could've done this?
  • COME AND TAKE IT
  • When Texas refused to give up the cannon México gifted to Texas, México sent 100 soldiers to Texas to retrieve it. Then Ugartechea realized that the slightest could occur and start problems.
  • COME ANDTAKE IT!
  • When the Mexican troop reached the Guadalupe River their way was blocked by a high water explosion and 18 Texan soldiers.
  • During one night, the Texan troops had crossed the river and gone to the Mexican troops to put up a sign with the famous saying, "COME AND TAKE IT".
  • These are some of the events that lead up to the American Revolution.
