The Revenge of Hephaestus on Hera

Storyboard Text

  • One day, Hera, Queen of the Gods, spotted a magnificent throne, and wasted no time to sit on it.
  • However, what she did not know was that this throne was made by Hephaestus, the god of hammers and craft, who saught revenge on his mother
  • The gods attempted to free her, but all of their attempts failed. The only one who could undo the binding was Hephaestus.
  • So the gods thought of a plan. They would have Dionysus create wine and have Hephaestus drink it so he could be convinced to free Hera.
  • Dionysus was able to convince Hephaestus to free Hera, after Dionysus had gotten him drunk. So Hephaestus was set to go out next morning after he had slept.
  • So, Hephaestus freed Hera, and as thanks the Gods allowed him to marry Aphrodite, the goddess of love. After that, they then parted ways.
