My son and I arriving to the city of San Francisco
My work expiernce
Leaving China was both the easiest and hardest decision of my life but we had to think of my sons future and China could not give him what he deserved. Our journey took 25 rough days with little to no food all we had to eat was moldy bread and rice. My husband tragically fell of the boat and drowned me and my son were the only survivors.
As we arrived we were terrified we did not speak the language but I tired my hardest to find work. I rented a small one bedroom apartment with all the little money my husband I saved up.
After a very long month of looking for a job I finally did it was a job picking rice on a field 30 outside of San Francisco the working condition were terrible I worked over 12 hours a day with no break and was only paid 10 cents an hour but I could not risk complaining because I needed to support my son.
