Storyboard Text

  • Paleolithic times (Before)
  • My baby died of starvation!
  •  Liam died hunting and we only caught a couple bison. Its not enough to feed everyone and its way too dangerous to go hunting anymore!
  • Animal domestication(Neolithic Age)
  •  Thank goodness we discovered  animal domestication!
  • Now we can stay put, since we can grow our own crops and domesticate animals!
  • Agricultural Revolution(Neolithic Age)
  • Thank goodness we discovered agriculture!
  •  Life was hard for the people back then. People were dying because there was not enough to eat. People were nomads, constantly moving from place to place, making temporary shelters. They would hunt for food but hunting was dangerous back then people were often getting killed.
  •  Permanent civilizations
  • Now that we have our permanent home, people had better not try to steal from us!
  • People discovered that you could raise animals to later eat. This was the domestication of animals.People began to do so and discovered that some animals can produce other means of food. They also discovered how to grow their own crops and did not need to be hunter-gatherers.
  • Different jobs
  • Thank goodness I don't have to gather food anymore! It was super tiring!
  • Thank goodness for trading, we really needed to think of that before.
  • Life was better. Less people starved, people was happy because they had all the resources they needed and surplus to use, thanks to agriculture. Because of this the human population grew.
  • Trading
  • The end!
  • People began to settle down, create permanent homes and bond with one another. They created communities. With these communities, people created laws and services to one another.
  • People then did not have to do the same jobs. People could cook, gather food, hunt, weave, make pottery and sell stuff. People were freely able to do what jobs they wanted and exchange items for their families.
  •  People were trading/exchanging food, tools and supplies for other things. They would exchange food for things like bricks, tools, pottery, clothes for their homes.
