  • The constitution says no part of a national bank. we need a strict government
  • States Rights
  • We want to fight the Alien and Sedition Acts.
  • Foreign Policy
  • Lets form a long lasting alliance!
  • Jefferson and Madison were democratic republicans. They both believed in a limited  national government and strict Constitution.
  • Political Parties
  • Lets have a national bank! The Constitution needs to be interpreted loosly.
  • Jefferson and Madison wanted to fight the Alien and sedition Acts. They found a theory called States Rights. This said that states had the right to judge when federal government had passed a unconstitutional law.
  • States Rights
  • The Democratic- Republicans took over Congress and repealed the Alien and Sedition acts.
  • The Democratic- Republicans wanted to form long lasting alliances.
  • Foreign Policy
  • Lest be friends for now but i don't think that will last forever.
  • Hamilton believed in a loose interpretation of the Constitution. He believed in a strong national bank.
  • The federalists did not like the States Rights. They wanted to keep the Alien and Sedition Acts in power but in two years Democratic-Rebublicans repealed this rule.
  • The federalists thought that the US needed to steer clear and stay neutral of permanent alliances.
