  • Yes, Yes of course The next strategy is the maniple!
  • Read further on next page.
  • The Maniple are smaller standalone units that are capable to fight in isolation and in several directions unlike the Phalanx. A maniple will move as an average man can jog making it easier to charge at our Target if needed. Maniples are positioned in a checkerboard pattern making sure that we can defend from any angle of attack. The maniple strategy does not have to step out of formation if a challenging terrain is ahead, making sure that we can all stay alert and in our formations instead of trying to get back into our positions. Lastly this strategy is made up of three units:hastati, principes,Triarii. The Triarri are very inexprienced soldiers and they are the ones first to attack making sure that our army does not waste any "valuable" soldiers and that the front line of the enemy is destroyed. The second line, the principes are more experienced soldiers that have bows. They are then sent to the front line firing their arrows and after charging with their swords. Thier essential goal is to wipe out the majority of the enemy which in most cases works. If we have not wiped out the whole army of the enemy, the very, very experienced soldiers come in; the legendary hastati. their goal is to finish any of the remaining soldiers and cavalary.

  • The Cohort is the size of a quadrupled Maniple We tend to use this tactic is bigger battles. The Cohort includes soldiers that can build camps, bridges, roads during battle to get to places faster this strategy is entirely self sufficient and its fighting tactics are almost the exact same as our strategy; the Maniple.
