- Hello my name is Martin Luther King Jr, I was born in 1929, and died in 1968. I live in Atlanta,Georgia. I have a mom, dad, younger brother, and sister. I was also born when black people did not have the rights like they did today. I was called the first experienced racial discrimination* when my white neighbors refused to let me play with there boys. It was hard for me to understand.
- I am known for advancing the Civil Rights Movement and my "I Have A Dream." speech. Some facts about me is Martin Luther King Jr is a national holiday, and there are over 730 streets in the united states named after me. I also won the Nobel Peace prize in 1964, also another award I got was the Congress :anal/onal gold medal.
- What you should know about me is my original birth certificate is Micheal King. This was a mistake, however. I was supposed to be named after my father, who was named for Martin Luther, the leader of the Christian reformation movement. My famous Quote was "March on Washington." It's important because over 250,000 people attended this march in an effort to show the importance of civil rights legislation.
