Humiliating Defeat in War
One factor that led to the Russian Revolution was that food was at an all time low. Although rations were created, the food lacked nutrients and the people of Russia became increasingly malnourished.
Another major cause was that inflation made the value of the money worthless. This was caused by the government printing a lot of money (which lowers the value). In fact, during WWII, they did the same thing.
Lastly, the humiliating loss against Japan made history, as they were the first country to lose against an Asian country. This resulted in the citizens losing support to Czar and leading closer to the revolution.
