The Sugar Act ; In 1764 Parliament passed the Sugar Act on February 6,1765. The act lowered the tax on molasses that was being imported by the colonists
We as colonists , believed our rights as Englishmen were being violated.
Which then lead to imported goods being smuggled into America by the Colonists.
We reacted this way because we had no say in this act and did it out of anger , also , it arrived in the colonies where there was a time of depression going on because of our economic issues.
