Storyboard Text

  • I'm doing a report about an event in the early 1900's!
  • Cool! What is it about?
  • Women's rights and this thing called suffrage. So what is suffrage?
  • Suffrage is simply someone's right to vote!
  • What did women do to get the right to vote in the early 1900's?
  • Most women, like Susan B. Anthony, protested for their equality.
  •
  • How did they protest?
  • They peacefully picketed and stood up against other women and groups.
  •
  • And picketing is the group standing with their ideas being advertised
  • Exactly! People like Alice Paul found and led groups like the National Women's Party
  •
  • Oh okay! So what happened in the end?
  • The 19th amendment was passed! Which gave everyone the right to vote.
