  • One major cause of WW2 was the rise in dictatorships. Totalitarian styled governments were established in Italy, Germany, and the Soviet Union, putting the world on edge for what was to come next.
  • Another major cause of WW2 was a worldwide depression from the 1930's. Leaders became angry, millions lost jobs, faced starvation, and suffered through the harsh times that were left after WW1.
  • Because of this, Italy, Germany, and Japan became allies and their leaders; Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo; tried to conquer all of Europe as totalitarians.
